Astonishing! Cowboys headed north popping up all over ... what happened?

Hey Reader

My novel released three weeks ago today and I keep hearing about people reading it. I'm amazed and, as we say in Texas, tickled pink. 😊

The book has a 4.9 star rating at Amazon and 21 reviews. Here's a quick sample.

I have never been interested in Westerns much. They seemed so violent and unredeemable. However, this modern Western thriller found a place in me that kept me engaged throughout. Gary Brumbelow has a knack for this genre. My hope is that he keeps giving us sequel after sequel! KB in Missouri
"Someplace North, Someplace Wild" is a great entertaining read with constant encouragements about how to live life with the God of All. This story describes the challenges of pursuing your dreams and seeing how it can all come together through lots of surprising obstacles. ML in Texas
I thought this might be a story more for men than women, but it's really both. This is very much an "Agatha Christie" type novel, but in the wilds of Canada, Cody is alone to resolve the murder that's been pinned on him. A great read, couldn't put it down once I started reading it. Looking forward to Brumbelow's next book in his Mountain Ranch Adventure series! EG in California

Someplace North, Someplace Wild is a contemporary western adventure with romantic suspense. People find it entertaining, but it has a deeper purpose: it portrays a young Christian full of hope yet beset by many troubles and trying to understand and do his part and ask God to do His. (Like Jesus describes in Mark 4:26-29).

You can order Someplace North, Someplace Wild at Amazon in Kindle or paperback. An audio version is due out in November.

We'd like to see this book impact many people. Can you help?

  1. Order it and read it (if you haven't already).
  2. Order an extra copy to give to a friend.

Those ideas will each cost you $20.

But here's something free that would be a BIG help: go to Amazon, rate it, and write a brief review.

The more reviews at Amazon, the better the book's visibility. That's cooked into the algorithms.

On a related note, we have two book signings coming up. September 9 in Butte, NE and September 14 in Salem, OR. Get in touch if you have a question or are interested in coming.

Hi Reader, You wouldn't be on my mailing list if you didn't like to read. But have you read a book that changed your life? (Besides the Bible, in a class of its own.) I don't mean just non-fiction. In fact, I heard a pastor say "We read nonfiction for information but we read fiction for transformation." Here's how a prominent theologian put it. The deep places in our lives, places of resistance and embrace, are not ultimately reached by instruction ... [but] only by stories, images, metaphors...

Hi Reader, Here's another preview for my insiders. Today I uploaded a new cover for Someplace North, Someplace Wild. Now the new edition is up at Amazon. But I want you see something I created, before I release it to my whole list. It's a video ad that will show up at Amazon. Just 20 seconds long. I'll bet you can spare that. https://tinyurl.com/54zvtxdv Let me know what you think! Gary Brumbelow gary@garybrumbelow.com 13951 SE 312th Drive, Boring, OR 97009Unsubscribe · Preferences

Someone holding grains of wheat

Hi Reader, Even in days of conflict like we have in our nation, God always points His people forward. He expects us to pursue His calling on our lives. That calling will look different for each person. Needy people are everywhere. You have abilities that could make a difference to someone. For example, 80 percent of Americans would like to write a book. But many think "my life isn’t interesting enough." I thought that, too, but to my amazement, I've sold over 750 copies of two novels with...
