A new book is coming and you could get a free copy

Howdy,

Tomorrow is June! As Solomon observed, the days fly by. And sometimes they rob our breath.

Like right now ... because I just decided to release book 2 of Mountain Ranch Adventures, Someplace North, Someone Fair, in early August.

Stand by for the actual date.

If you live within 30 miles you'll receive an invitation to join us for the launch party.

If you live hundreds or thousands of miles away, you won't get that invite. But here's an offer to consider for anyone reading this email.

I need beta readers, right now, for this new novel and that might include you.

Beta reader?

Wondering what's a beta reader? Think of computer software. A beta tester is someone who uses an unfinished version of a software program to find the bugs before it goes on the market.

In similar fashion, a beta reader reads the novel and tells the author what did not work: underdeveloped characters, character inconsistencies, plot holes, boring sections. They give the author feedback on his story before it's published so he can correct errors or rewrite scenes his readers found humdrum.

If that sounds interesting to you, just go here to apply. There are some qualifications. Approved applicants will get a digital version as soon as its ready.

Meantime, we'll be back with that August date soon.

Shalom.

Gary

Hi Reader, You wouldn't be on my mailing list if you didn't like to read. But have you read a book that changed your life? (Besides the Bible, in a class of its own.) I don't mean just non-fiction. In fact, I heard a pastor say "We read nonfiction for information but we read fiction for transformation." Here's how a prominent theologian put it. The deep places in our lives, places of resistance and embrace, are not ultimately reached by instruction ... [but] only by stories, images, metaphors...

Hi Reader, Here's another preview for my insiders. Today I uploaded a new cover for Someplace North, Someplace Wild. Now the new edition is up at Amazon. But I want you see something I created, before I release it to my whole list. It's a video ad that will show up at Amazon. Just 20 seconds long. I'll bet you can spare that. https://tinyurl.com/54zvtxdv Let me know what you think! Gary Brumbelow gary@garybrumbelow.com 13951 SE 312th Drive, Boring, OR 97009Unsubscribe · Preferences

Someone holding grains of wheat

Hi Reader, Even in days of conflict like we have in our nation, God always points His people forward. He expects us to pursue His calling on our lives. That calling will look different for each person. Needy people are everywhere. You have abilities that could make a difference to someone. For example, 80 percent of Americans would like to write a book. But many think "my life isn’t interesting enough." I thought that, too, but to my amazement, I've sold over 750 copies of two novels with...
